Liberty SI™ Fusion System

The Liberty SI™ Fusion System is intended for sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion for conditions including SI joint disruptions and degenerative sacroiliitis. The procedure involves the lateral insertion of 1 or 2 titanium implants transfixing across the ilium and sacrum designed to apply a compressive force to stabilize and fuse the SI Joint. Liberty SI™ is single use and provided sterile.

The Trellis™ platform

The Trellis™ platform is designed to optimize osseointegration, the process in which bone bonds directly to the surface of an implant. By providing a porous structure that mimics the pore size and pattern of cancellous bone, along with a roughened surface at the macro, micro, and nano levels, Orthofundamentals implants enhance cellular attachment.

  • Histological evaluation of a Trellis™ implant at 8 weeks demonstrates the ability of the implant to promote early attachment of MSCs, early bone growth, bony through-growth into the central lumen of the implant through the fenestrations, and also interdigitation of new bone into the porous non-threaded portion of the implant.
  • Single-use instrumentation removes the inefficiencies of traditional reusable kits by removing lost productivity, lowering surgical site infections, lowering sterilization costs and always ensuring against missing or damaged items.
